Stephen Jon-Hamilton Hagood

Mr. Stephen Jon-Hamilton Hagood entered into eternal sleep peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare. He was born on March 16, 1975 in Greenwood, SC to Rev. Queen H. Hagood and the late Saverio Hagood. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Willie James, Sr and Martha Stephens Hamilton; and paternal grandparents John and Harriett Hagood.
Stephen was an entrepreneur with experience in Office Management, Human Resources, Sales, and Finance for over 25 years. He is the founder of DMI Worldwide, a company focused on the development of independent music artists. He received his training in entertainment in the mid-1990s as an intern with a major independent record label in Atlanta, GA. He later furthered his education at Berklee College of Music, certifying him as a Music/Entertainment Business Professional. Stephen is also the Co-Founder of Aerotight Integrated Security and Aerotight Global Media, a music and video production company. While continuing to advance his knowledge in Business Management and Finance, Stephen has held several positions: Assistant Store Manager/Operations Manager with Walmart Corporation, Sales and Finance Manager with Vic Bailey Automotive, Inc., Show Cars, LLC, and Auto Brokers. His most prized and recent venture is the founding and co-ownership of The Perfect Note, LLC – TPN Cigars.
Stephen has also had the pleasure of working in the non-profit arena in the Spartanburg, SC area as a volunteer, committee member, board member and community organizer, where he shared the expertise of his technical and business acumen.
Leaving to cherish loving memories are his wife, Jacqulyn Hagood; son, Christian Galloway of Wilmington, NC; mother, Rev. Queen H. Hagood of Greenwood, SC; sisters, Vitanza Griffin of Indian Land, SC and Rev. La Juanta Hair (Michael) of Greenwood, SC; brother, Michael Peppers of Clemson, SC; mother-in-law, Rutha Simpson; of Orangeburg, SC; sister-in-law, Alicia Necole Sanders (Frankie, Sr.) of Orangeburg, SC; nephews, Anthoine Lagroone of Greenville, SC; Adrian Griffin; Aaron Lagroone of Columbia, SC; Frankie Sanders, Jr. of Orangeburg, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1pm. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Springfield Baptist Church (Laurens Hwy). .Mr Hagood will be placed in the church at Noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The repast will be held at Noah J Events immediately following the services.
Public viewing will be from 1 pm to 5 pm on Friday, February 24, 2023, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel. The family is at the home, located at 103 Winston Ct W, Greenwood, SC 29649.
