Obituary

Sophania Jones Curry, 49, of 320 Ashcroft Drive, wife of Marquis Curry, entered into eternal rest on March 30, 2023, at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born on Greenwood March 19, 1974, to Alice Wright and was the daughter of Leroy Jones and Lillie Mae Bolden Jones. She was formerly employed as a manager with Taco Bell. She was also a licensed Cosmologist. She was a member of Holly Redeemer Church.

Surviving is her mother of Greenwood; her mother in law, Mary Moton; three sons: Detavious Neal, Marquis Curry, Jr and Marion Curry; two brothers: Thomas Wright and Daryl Jones(Keisha); sister, Maranda Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Church with Bishop Roosevelt Moton officiating. Burial will be in Evening Star cemetery. Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1-6 -pm at the Percival-Tompkins Chapel. The family is at the home. Percival Tompkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the Curry family.
