Sarah Hodges

Sarah Hodges 86, of 2 Holloway Sr Apt A-1 entered eternal rest on April 18, 2023 at Hospice of the Piedmont. She was born in Greenwood County April 1, 1927 a daughter of the late John Burton and Ida Latimer Burton. She was a member of Dunn Creek Baptist church where she served on the Missionary Society and Sr Choir. She was a self-employed Seamstress. Surviving are 6 daughters, Robbie Hodges, Rosilyn Mims, and  Hope Martin all of Greenwood; Sarah Diane (Horace) Thomas of Fountain Inn, SC; Tammy Watley of Columbia, SC and  Leslie Watley of Baltimore, MD; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 3PM Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Dunn Creek Baptist Church with Rev. James F. Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held Saturday from 1-7 PM at the funeral home. The family is at the home of a daughter Hope Martin 105 Birch Trail ( Rockcreek Subdivision) and will receive friends  from Thursday – Saturday between the hours 11AM until 7PM.
