Sadie Crawford Makins

Mrs. Sadie Elizabeth Crawford Makins, 72, widow of Tommy Lee Makins,  transitioned into eternal peace on February 23, 2024, at Self Regional Healthcare. She was born in Abbeville, SC on January 11, 1952, a daughter of John Crawford, Sr. and Sadie Howland Crawford.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and retired from Fuji Film.

She is survived by a daughter, Desiree Graham (Donnie Jr.) of Hodges, SC; two brothers, Paul Crawford ( Bertha) of Abbeville, SC and George Crawford of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Betty Griffin and Corrie Williams of Abbeville, SC; a grandson, Donnie Graham, III; and a host of other relatives and friends to cherish her life and legacy of love and faith.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Mt Zion Baptist Church (Coronaca, SC) with Rev. Pearlease Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park. Mrs. Makins will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM.  Public viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel. The family is at her home--408 Freetown Road, Hodges, SC.
