Reginald “Coot” Susewell Tompkins, 65, gained his wings on July 8, 2022, at Self Regional Health Care. He was born on July 2, 1957, to the late Rayford W. Susewell, Sr. and Annette Tompkins.
He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church before joining New Faith Tabernacle where he was an active member who loved singing in church.
He is preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Lucille Tompkins.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Patricia Adams; his adored mother, Annette Tompkins-Susewell; son, DeMario Susewell; three brothers: Micheal (Aretha) Tompkins, Anthony (Belinda) Susewell and Rayford W. Susewell, Jr.; sister, Katrina E. Susewell; one grandchild, Mariah Susewell; five step-children: Antwan Allen, Tierra Brown, LaShondra Roundtree, Natasha Anderson and Renee Roundtree; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn his passing. He will be missed by all who knew, loved and cherished him. “Fly High Coot”.
Visitation in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel (330 Magnolia Avenue, Greenwood, SC, 29646) will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Graveside services at Evening Star Cemetery (111 Memorial Lane, Greenwood, SC, 29646) will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
