Mary Ruth (Gray) Robinson

Mary Ruth Robinson, 78, widow of Willie Robinson, entered into eternal rest on June 8, 2025, at her home. She was born in Abbeville county on July 12, 1946, to the late Floyd Gray, Sr. and Odessa Davis Gray. She graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1965, and was a retiree of Solutia, Incorporated (formally Monsanto Company).

Mary was a faithful member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon. She was Treasurer of the Senior Program at the Little River Missionary Baptist Association. She was very active and enjoyed participating in the Silver Sneakers fitness program at the YMCA.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Felicia Robinson-Jack (Patrick) of Simpsonville, SC ; her son, Andre Robinson of Morrisville, NC; three brothers, James A. Gray (Gwen), Floyd Gray, Jr. (Verncilla), both of Greenwood, SC, and A. Fletcher Gray (Elaine) of Aurora, Colorado; two sisters, Alice L. Martin of Greenwood, SC,  and Barbara A. Middleton (James) of Richmond, VA ; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Little River Multicultural Complex with Rev. Randy Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews and flower bearers will be nieces. Honorary escorts will be the Brewer High School Class of 1965 and the LRMBA Senior Ministry. 

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the home, 105 Shurlington Lane South, Hodges, SC.
