Mamie Helen Kinard Higgins 80, of 108 Victory Road wife of Heyward Higgins entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Greenwood County May 30. 1944 a daughter of the late Calvin Kinard and Mamie Wims Kinard.
She was a member of Jacob Chapel Baptist Church where she served as a former Deaconess.
She was retired from Professional Medical Products.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tony Higgins; three brothers, Calvin Jr., James Isaiah and Moses Samuel Kinard. three sisters, Alice Lucille Turner, Eula Beatrice Patterson and Lillie Mae Fisher
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 60 years, Heyward Higgins of the home, two sisters Iola K Crawford and Viola K Cannon (Rev. Clyde D. Cannon); three sisters, in law, Juanita Kinard , Vonena Kinard and Fannie Clark; brother in law, Hardy Higgins; four god children, Sanquinetta A Williams, Gerald Coates, Eric Coates , Khadajah Clark, and Aneres Carroll and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends to cherish her precious memory.
Services honoring the life of Mrs. Mamie Higgins will be held 11: 00 AM Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Higgins will lay in state Tuesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
Public viewing will be held from 1-6 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home 108 Victory Road, Greenwood.
