Linda Anderson Obituary

Linda Jean Cloud Anderson peacefully transitioned on November 23, 2025, at Self Regional Hospital. At 67 years old, she left this world wrapped in the love of her devoted husband, Robin Anderson, to whom she was faithfully joined for forty-three beautiful years. Their marriage was a true testament to partnership, commitment, and unwavering love.

Born to the late Weldon Cloud, Sr. and Lottie Lou Jones Cloud, Linda entered life with grace, a warm spirit, and a heart big enough to hold everyone she loved. She is now reunited with her identical twin sister, Brenda Elaine Cloud Jackson, with whom she shared an unbreakable, lifelong bond.

A proud 1976 graduate of Ninety Six High School, Linda shined brightly as captain of the cheer squad, spreading joy, encouragement, and school spirit—traits she carried throughout her entire life. She later served diligently with Self Regional Healthcare until her health declined. Linda was a dedicated member of Mt. Carmel AME Church, where her faith anchored her steps and strengthened her family. Her greatest joy came from being a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She nurtured her family with tenderness, prayed for them with devotion, and celebrated each of their accomplishments with pride. Her love was a constant presence—a warm home, a listening ear, and a heart full of compassion.

Linda leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted husband, Robin; her loving son, Antonio Cloud, Sr. (Susan) of Concord, NC; and her daughter, Tiara Cloud (Christopher Wise) of Greenwood, SC. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Quaimauza’ Cloud, who was reared in the home; Quaimar Cloud; Quaitavious Cloud; Antonio Cloud, Jr.; Lalicia Cloud; Ariel Cloud; and her bonus grandchildren, Kaylee Shepherd and Nicolas Shepherd. Her love and influence will forever live on in each of them.

She is also remembered with love by her sisters Sandra Denise Lee (Walter) of Virginia, Thomasina Chappelle of New York, and Gwedolyn Clark of Virginia; her brother, Larry Cloud of New York; her brother-in-law, Johnny Anderson, Jr. (Joretta) of Virginia; her aunt, Christine Cloud Davis of Greenwood; and her uncles, Weldon Cloud, Jr. (Christine) of Hodges and Robert Reid of Greenwood. Linda shared a special sibling-like bond with her cousins reared in the home, Barbara Cloud and Susie Cloud-Gilchrist (Cortez). She is further survived by a host of special cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were deeply touched by her kindness, warmth, and wisdom.

Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin “Buddy” Cloud and Darryl Chappelle, and her sister-in-law, Janice Cheatham.

Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing she is resting in eternal peace, her beautiful spirit forever watching over us. Her love, laughter, and gentle guidance will continue to shape and strengthen our family for generations to come.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Harris United Methodist Church wit Rev. Thessa G. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery. Mrs. Cloud will lie in state at the Church from 1:00 pm until the service hour on Saturday.

Public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Funeral Home.

The family is at the home, 1014 Pine Forest Drive, Greenwood, SC, 29646.
