Mr. Leroy White, 95, was the son of the late Charlie and Rosa Lee White, born in Callison, SC on October 18, 1929. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Willie Mae Mack White in January 1950. He transitioned peacefully from this earthly life on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Leroy never met a stranger; he was a friend and a helper to all he would meet. He was wise in his years; and stood firm when he needed.
He received his early education in the public schools of Callison and Greenwood, South Carolina.
At an early age he confessed his life to Christ, joined and became a member of Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was known for his heard for song; breaking into his unique cadence as his heart led him.
Leroy White was a former employee of The Roberts Company; known as The Foundry for well over 42 years. He could often be found working long hours and tediously to provide and care for his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Willie Mae White; one daughter, Lue Ella Mack; one son, Curtis White; four brothers; two grandsons and one granddaughter.
He leaves to honor and cherish memories: four daughters: Mrs. Doris W. (Luther) Smith of Troutman, NC; Mrs. Deloris Miller of Greenwood, SC; Mrs. Karen (Ronald) Norman of Charlotte, NC and Mrs. Brenda (Ronald) Williams of Greenwood, SC; two sons, Robert (Tracie) White of Charlotte, NC and Troy Lee (Hazel) White of Greenwood, SC; three sisters: Mrs. Josie Mae Brown of Hodges, SC; Mrs. Janie (Ernest) Morton and Mrs. Jessie Lee (Moses) Hackett of Greenwood, SC.
