LaDonna (Pinckney) Ballard

Mrs. LaDonna Pinckney-Ballard, 87, wife of Mr. Morris Drayton Ballard, Jr., transitioned into eternal peace on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Hospice House of the Piedmont.

She was a member of Presbyterian Church of Abbeville, SC and graduate of Wright High School.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond Williams and Casius Pinckney, and two sisters: Loretta Jackson and Tommie Ann Williams-Wall.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Anthony Curtis Ballard; five daughters: Cheryl Pinckney, Angela Ballard-Leach, Pamela Ballard, Tracy Ballard Shippy, and Vickie Robertson (Tyrone); nine grandchildren: Michelle Clark, Terrell Clark, Carlo Clark, Lori Clark, Hilary Leach, Andrea Michelle Shippy, Courtney Shippy Thomas, Chase Johnson, and Arianna Robertson; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery.

Public Viewing will be held from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Funeral Home. The family will not receive any visitors at the home.
