Joyce Ann Collins, 73, formerly of 3819 McCormick Hwy, Bradley, SC, entered into eternal rest on April 10, 2024, at Magnolia Manor. She was born in Greenwood County on May 25, 1950, a daughter of the late Roy Lester Collins and Julia Deal Collins.
She was a member of Mt. Zion AME church where she was a former member of the Kitchen Ministry. She engaged in gainful employment through Burton Center which led to her working for Lander University.
She was preceded in death by: a sister-in-law, Willie Bell Collins; and a faithful cousin, Tarnya Smith.
Surviving are: two brothers, Leroy Collins of Irmo, SC and Douglas Collins (Bessie) of Promiseland, SC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Mt. Zion AME Church with Rev James Louden III officiating. Interment will follow in Evening Star Cemetery. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel.
The family is at the home of a brother, Douglas Collins (Bessie), located at 3819 McCormick Hwy, Bradley, SC 29819.
