Jerry Davis Ryans

Jerry Davis Ryans 66, of 207 Pucketts Pointe Road husband of Deborah Tolbert Ryans entered into eternal rest on October 18, 2023 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. He was born in Greenwood County July 25, 1957 a son of the late Mack Ryans and Mattie Bell Peterson Ryans. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1975. He was a graduate Piedmont Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Radiology in 1977. He was former Head of the Radiology Department at Self Regional Medical Center and Instructor of Radiology Technology at Piedmont Technical College. He received his Master’s of Divinity Degree in December of 2015. He was a former member of Springfield Baptist Church in Edgefield, SC. He later moved his membership to Old Beaverdam Baptist where he served as Associate Minister.

Surviving is his son Kendall Ryans (Kayla Shumake) of Greenwood, a daughter, Kandace Ryans of Moore, SC; one brother, Freddie B. Ryans of Greenwood; two sisters, Sandra Diane Ryans and Geneva Harrison of Greenwood; one grandson Kingston Ryans; one grand fur baby, Braxton Ryans; three God children and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

Services will be held Noon Monday, October 23, 2023 at Old Beaverdam Baptist Church, 3458 Beaverdam Creek Road, Newberry, SC 29108 with Rev. Robert McClinton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Ryans will be placed in the church at 11:00 AM. Public viewing will be held from 1-6 pm Sunday at the funeral home. The family is at the home and ask that you would please wear mask during visitation.
