Jarvis Lamar Davis,46, of 633 Foundry Road, entered into eternal rest on August 30, 2024, at his home. He was born in Greenwood County July 20, 1978, a son of Lottie Davis Bishop and the late Willie Bowie. He attended Greenwood High School District # 50. He spent most of his adult life in Wilmington, NC. His beautiful smile, calm demeanor and love for music will always be cherished and remembered.
He was preceded in death by his: maternal great-grandparents, Weldon and Lottie Lou Cloud; paternal great-grandparents, John and Edna Davis; paternal grandfather, James Davis; a brother, Revius Davis; and a cousin, Quincy, whom was raised with as a brother.
He is survived by his: mother, Lottie Davis Bishop (Jerry), of Pomaria, SC; his maternal grandmother, Christine Cloud Davis; two daughters, Jaziah Davis Fary (Colin) of San Diego, California and Loyndan Davis of Wilmington, NC; a son, Joesiah Davis, of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, Donald Bishop, Jr. (Keneysia) of the home and Bryan Bowie (Gladys) of Greenwood; two sisters, Vanessa Bowie and Shaneka Wideman both of Greenwood; five aunts: Barbara Cloud, Edna Davis (Lavato), Debbie Roman, Stephanie Ree Davis and Linda Cloud Anderson (Robin) all of Greenwood; three uncles: Anthony Davis, James Davis, Jr. and Ronald Davis all of Greenwood; one great uncle, Weldon Cloud , Jr. (Christine); and a nephew, Donald Bishop, of the home; eighteen cousins: Denise, Lashunda, Passion, Chryl, Anisha, Michael, Gerrad, Kela, Jasmine, Leron, Deon, Demetrius, Tameka, Kawonna, Demecia, Dayquan, Jackie, and Tiara whom were raised like brothers and sisters. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel with Rev. Dr. Demetrius Roman officiating. Burial follow in the Evening Star Cemetery.
Public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel. The family is at the home.
