Mr. Henry Hamilton, 69, of 104 Beechwood Circle, departed this life on April 3, 2024, at his home. Born in Richmond, VA on June 23,1954, a son of the late Joseph and Omega Booker Hamilton. He was raised in the home of the late Sallie Jenkins and Wille Lee Goode.
He was a member of New Faith Tabernacle Church where he served as a Trustee until his health declined. He was graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1971 and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was retired from Greenwood Mills Chalmers Plant and the City of Greenwood. He was an avid lover and fan of the Miami Dolphins.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his siblings: Joseph, Albert, Charlie, Tommie Lee Hamilton, and Mary Frances Watson; and a bonus sister, Bernadette Hentz.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted cousin/sister, Gwen Thomas (James); sister-in-law, Linda Hamiton of Augusta, GA; a cousin/brother reared in the home, William ”Buck” Auls; nieces: Akanda Klugh (Lorenzo), Adero Thomas, Alezha Klugh, Ajada Klugh, Millicent Crist, Mellissa Watson, Melinda Watson, Janelle Brooks, Kristen Hamilton, Rena Hamilton and Tanya Riddick; nephews: Akeem Thomas, Ahmadre Klugh, Cameron Thomas, Ace Burton, Maison Johnson, Marlon, Courtland Hamilton, Corey Arnold, Franklin, JD, Claude, and Issac Hamilton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2024, at New Faith Tabernacle with Rev. Bennie Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Evening Star Cemetery with Military Honors. Mr. Hamilton will be placed in the church at 10:00 AM. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel. The family is at the home, 104 Beechwood Circle.
