Mrs. Hazelena Cohen Williams, 63, of 114 Folly Bend Drive, wife of James C. Williams, Sr., entered into eternal rest on June 15, 2025. She was born in Greenwood County on December 30, 1961, to the late Odell Cohen and Sylvia Mae Morton Cohen.
She was a graduate of the Greenwood High School Class of 1980 and attended Piedmont Technical College. Also, she was a member of House of Reconciliation where she was a former Deaconess and former member and Vice President of the Women's Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Herman Phillip Cohen; Verna Diane Belcher and Winford Earl Cohen.
Surviving to cherish her memory are: her husband, James C. Williams, Sr. of the home; one son, James Calvin Williams, Jr.; two daughters, Charity Alena Williams of Greenwood, SC and Hope Deanna Williams of the home; three brothers: Michael Odell Cohen (Sonya) of Greenwood, SC, Titus O. Cohen (Viola) and James W. Cohen, both of Hodges, SC; two sisters, Katherine Elaine Frazier of Greenwood, SC and Janice Marie Watley (Isaac) of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Christian Williams and Josiah Williams of Greenwood, SC; three brothers-in-law: Glen Belcher (Lyn); Lee Williams (Lillian) and Harold Williams; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Williams and Evelyn Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Williams will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at House of Reconciliation with Elder Reginald Campbell officiating and Rev. Dr. Regina Campbell presiding. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Williams will lie in state from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Church on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Public Viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel.
