Eliza Belle Perkins

Eliza Belle Perkins 88, of 122 Rough Road, Hodges, SC widow of Raymond Perkins entered into the loving arms of her eternal God on October 29, 2022. She was born in Elberton, Georgia on August 28, 1934, a daughter of the late Johnny Morgan and Macie Richardson.

She was a devoted member of Mt Calvary Baptist Church until her health failed. She was formerly employed with Greenwood Mills for many years. Many children were loved and spoiled in “Ms Liza’s home. She loved cooking and made many meals for family and friends to take home and serve at family dinners. She was always busy during Thanksgiving and Christmas!

She was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond T. and James Henry Perkins and a grandson, Jarvis “Snake” Perkins.

“Mrs Liza” leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, a devoted daughter and son in law, Deborah (Robert) Elmore of; two sons, Ronnie Perkins of the home and Earl (Delia) Perkins of Chesapeake, VA  and adopted son, Raymond Bernard Wideman of the home ; a brother, Willie (Jessie) Richardson of  Cokesbury, SC; a sister, Margie Tollie of Winston Salem, NC ; 10 grandchildren 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Mt Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Jackson officiating and Pastor Pierre Salmon Presiding. Mrs. Perkins will be placed in the church at Noon.   Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be from 1-5 pm on Friday at the funeral home. The family is at the home.
