Darleen Brooks

Darleen Brooks, 69, departed this walk of life on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Self Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 1, 1955, to Thomas Brooks and Kathleen Patterson Brooks.

She was employed with Greenwood Mills and other manufacturing companies until her health declined. She was a 1973 graduate of Greenwood High School and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: three brothers; Waldorfe Brooks, Thomas Barrett Brooks and Melvin Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Kevin Brooks; one sister, Ernestine Brooks Baker; one sister-in-law, Pamela Brooks; 4 nieces, 2 who were caregivers: Latisah Brooks and Catherine Gantt; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Bishop Emmanuel Spearman officiating and Rev. Dana Tillman presiding. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024, in the Percival-Tompkins Chapel.

The family is located at 501 Trakas Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29649.
