Catherine Anderson Turner

Catherine Anderson Turner, 84, of 109 McAdams Road, widow of Willie James Turner, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare.

She was the daughter of the late Gladys and Luther Anderson.  She attended the public schools in Laurens County and was a faithful member of the Laurel Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Missionary Ministry. She was retired from Wesley Commons.

She was predeceased by three brothers, three sisters and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by a son, Brady (Charity) Anderson of Hepzibah, GA; a daughter, Charlena Turner of Greenwood;
two sisters, Ola Mae Simpkins of Brooklyn, NY and Betty Smith of Waterloo; a brother, Thomas (Lelia) Anderson of Clinton; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Waterloo with Reverend Terry Richard officiating.  The body will be placed in the church at 12 Noon.  Burial will be in Youngs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenwood.  Public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday, starting at 12 Noon until 6:00 PM.
The family is at the home of the daughter, 300 Pampas Dr., Apt. 311, Greenwood.
