Bobbie Jean Harrison, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on September 18, 1949, and lived a life full of love, dedication, and faith.
A proud graduate of Brewer High School, Bobbie Jean retired after many years of dedicated service as a spinner at Greenwood Mill. Her work ethic and commitment to those she served were evident in everything she did.
Bobbie Jean was a devoted and active member of Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she found strength in her faith and offered her love and support to all who knew her. She touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit.
In 1973, Bobbie Jean married the love of her life, Joseph Harrison. Their union of 51 years was one built on love, respect, and partnership. Together, they raised one daughter, Bernita Norman, who was the pride and joy of their lives.
Bobbie Jean's legacy lives on through her cherished family. She leaves behind her husband, Joseph Harrison, and her daughter, Bernita Norman (Zackary Norman Sr.). Her grandchildren, Jalissa Norman, Zakia Norman, and Zackary Norman Jr., along with her great-granddaughter, Janiyah Norman, will forever hold her in their hearts. She is also survived by her beloved siblings: Dr. Rev. Ronnie (Helen) Williams, Florine (Frank) Caldwell, Leonard Williams, sister-n-law Annie Lou (Willie) Fuller, sister-in-law Ida Morton, brother-in-law Willie Brown, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her son Antowan Harrison; her father, Deacon Squire Williams Jr.; her mother Edna Scott Williams; her brother Eddie Williams; her sister, Lillie Brown; and her nephew, Willie Marcus Brown.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support shown during this time. In honor of her life, a celebration of Bobbie Jean’s remarkable journey will be held at Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Bobbie Jean is now resting in the arms of the Lord, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all those who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of Life for Bobbie Jean Harrison will be held Noon Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Flint Hill Baptist Church.
Public viewing will be from 1- 6 pm Tuesday at the funeral Home.
Mrs. Harrison will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the church.
