Mrs. Bessie Kate Workman, 95, widow of James Workman, Sr., transitioned into eternal peace on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at NHC Healthcare of Greenwood. She was born in Cross Hill, SC on March 14, 1931, to the parentage of the late Ludie Hill and Doll Pulley Hill.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, LaRonda Diane Moore.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her sons, James Workman, Jr. (Earlene) and Jimmie Workman (Elease Bonnie); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Apostle Alvin Deal officiating.
There will be no public viewing of Mrs. Workman.
