Beatrice Johnson

Beatrice Johnson, 66, resident of 202 Crawford Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646, entered into eternal rest on March 4, 2023. She was born on August 2, 1956, in Edgefield, SC to the parentage of the late Vancy Legrone and Emma Ree Yelldell.

Beatrice was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as the president of the Usher Board and a member of the Missionary Society and the Women’s Auxiliary.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Anthony (Valerie) Light; a daughter, Ontario Sallie (Jarrell) Baker; a granddaughter, Detriese Light (Chamcee Blackwell); two brothers: Melvin (Janice) Legrone and Willie (Evine) Legrone; a sister, Annie Mae Legrone; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Tabernacle Baptist church with Rev. Quincy Baylor officiating. The family is at the home.
