Anthony D. Oliver, 69, of 217 Herbert Court, husband of Sherry B. Oliver, entered into eternal rest and peace on May 21, 2026, at Self Regional Rehabilitation Hospital.
He was born in Greenwood County on January 15, 1957, a son of the late Beatrice Oliver and James Hawkins, Sr.
He was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1975 and from Piedmont Technical College with Associate ’s Degree in Accounting. He was a member of John’s Creek Baptist Church and employed with Gleams for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry Brooks Oliver, of the home; two sons, Micheal Oliver (Faith) and Brandon Oliver, of Greenwood; one daughter, Crystal Oliver (Paris Belcher), of Ware Shoals; brothers, James Hawkins, Christopher Hawkins , Andrew Hawkins (Pansy) , Mike Penderman and Mike Morgan; sisters, Ethel Hawkins, Kimberly Hawkins, Michelle Rodgers; Sharon Thomas and Tamitra Palmore; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Percival-Tompkins Chapel with Rev. Alvin Deal officiating. Interment will follow in the Evening Star Cemetery. Public viewing will be from 1 PM - 5 PM on Monday, May, 25, 2026 at the Funeral Home.
