Alice Lucille Turner 92, of 118 Highland Drive; Idlewood Subdivision widow of Johnnie Turner, Sr. entered into eternal rest on November 12, 2022, at Hospice Care of the Piedmont. She was born in Greenwood County April 18, 1930 a daughter of the late Calvin Kinard and Mamie Wims Kinard. She was a member of Jacob Chapel Baptist Church where she served as Mother of the Church for many years. She was a member of the Missionary Society and served faithfully until her health failed.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Elaine Turner, Belinda Gail Turner and Erma Turner all of Greenwood, three sisters, Mamie Helen Higgins (Heyward) , Viola Cannon(Rev. Clyde) and Iola Crawford of Greenwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will be in Youngs Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Turner will be placed in the church at 10:00. Public viewing will be from 1-5 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the funeral home. The family is at the home. Please wear a mask during visitation. Percival-Tompkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the Turner family.
