Alice L Martin

Alice L. Martin, 80, of 30 Woodlawn Park, entered into eternal rest on July 1, 2025, at Prisma Health Greenville.

She was born in Greenwood County on April 24, 1945, a daughter of the late Floyd Gray, Sr. and Odessa Davis Gray. She was retired from Sara :Lee and Baybery  Assisted living and the Nantex. She was a  graduate of Brewer High School's Class of 1964.

She was a dedicated member of Dunham Temple CME Church where she served faithfully in the Choir, Stewardess and Missionary Ministries. She was also a former Sunday School Superintendent. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: four sons: Anthony “Pete” Martin (Teresa), Steve Martin (Sharon Waters), both of Greenwood, SC, Zachery Lorenzo Martin (Jerdlylia) of Dover, Delaware and Kevin Martin (Martisue) of Spartanburg, SC; a daughter, Twanna Michelle Bright (Ricky), of Greenwood, SC; three brothers: James Gray (Gwen), Floyd Gray, Jr. (Verncilla), both of Greenwood, SC,  and A. Fletcher Gray (Elaine) of Aurora, Colorado; a sister, Barbara Middleton (James), of Richmond, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Dunham Temple CME Church with Rev. Jerry Aiken officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

There will be no public viewing for Mrs. Martin.
